Are you an experienced administrative professional with a passion for supporting a vibrant community? First Presbyterian Church in Bryan, Texas, is seeking a dedicated and organized Office Manager to oversee our daily operations and ensure administrative efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and effective facility management.
Position Overview
Position Overview As the Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining security, managing financial transactions, overseeing facilities, and supporting church events and programs. You will coordinate human, physical, financial, and technological resources within the approved budget and staff structure, all while supporting the mission of our church.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee front-office operations and coordinate staff and volunteers. 
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment functionality. 
  • Supervise and schedule administrative volunteers. 
  • Serve as the onsite IT manager. 
  • Manage staff onboarding, training, and HR administration. 
  • Oversee financial disbursements and support bookkeeping functions. 
  • Coordinate facility-use applications and ensure proper scheduling. Organize and facilitate church-wide events. 
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical church records. 
  • Develop and implement communication strategies.

    Required Qualifications

        • Minimum of 5 years' experience in administrative or office management roles. 
        • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, social media platforms, website management, and database management software. 
        • Experience with financial reconciliation, budgeting, and HR administration. 
        • Knowledge of facilities management, security protocols, and event coordination. 
        • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 
        • Criminal background check required.

        Preferred Qualifications
        • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or related field (preferred but not required).
        • Prior experience supervising staff or volunteers in a church or nonprofit organization.
        • Background in web management and digital communications.
        • Strong problem-solving skills with adaptability to changing priorities.

          ADA Physical Requirements

            • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods.
            • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
            • Close vision required for paperwork and computer tasks. 
            • Must be able to drive and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license.

            Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000
