MISSION STATEMENT
First Presbyterian Church

First Presbyterian Church is a Christian congregation of believers, united in love and faith in God. We seek to respond to the Holy Spirit in order to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. We participate in the ministry of the church to provide nurture and spiritual fellowship, maintain divine worship, seek and preserve the truth, promote social justice, and exhibit the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.

Our ministry follows the example of Jesus who went about teaching, preaching, and healing.
(Matthew 4:23).

• Teaching: We seek to communicate the truth of the scripture in the tradition of the faith to all generations in an atmosphere that invites the Holy Spirit to act.
• Preaching: We proclaim the good news of God's love in Jesus Christ for the well-being and salvation of the world.
• Healing: We live out our faith by seeking and assisting those in need.
